Scammers are calling from a local number claiming to be from Apple. The scammer will say, “We are calling you to notify you that your I-Cloud account has been hacked. Please press “1” to be connected with Customer Service.
The scammer will instruct you to go to www.apple.com. Once on the website, the scammer will give instructions to various connections, which leads to a place where you cannot connect to what they are requesting. They respond with asking you to open up a browser of TeamViewer.com. This is the site where the scammer gains access to your personal computer, and gains all access to all of your personal and financial information, and potentially installs malware to retrieve all of your information.
